Stripy Birthday card

Hello friends I have yet another Birthday card to share today (Can one have enough birthday cards ??)
Started by stamping pattern using Strips stamp set (Winnie & Walter)on one side and then masked the stamped pattern with acetate so I could see the pattern and line up properly to stamp other side.I used black Archival ink and distress inks for stamping.
The pattern looked good but I had no idea what to do next ! After few trials came up with this idea of foam mounting strip with pattern,Heat embossed sentiment (Winnie & Walter),vellum and some glitter to jazz it up .

I find using cracked pistachio ,grey & black for masculine colors a lot these days, hope you are not tired of seeing it ! The card looks quiet formal(in other words boring) ,what do you think ?

CAS Mixed Media Card

Hello friends ,Today I have a birthday card to share with you all.The dahlia flower and leaves are digis from SNS,nothing new on design front !
Can you guess the coloring medium ?

The humble WAX CRAYONS !! I was surprised to find so many shades of single color in my crayon stash.I had 5 variations for blue and 4 for green ! If you are wondering how I blended these colors, heat is the secret.Heating causes the wax to melt and get absorbed into paper and you are free to layer colors on top.I heated between each layer of color and I could even use color pencils for shadows and highlights.

For the background ,I applied texture paste through dots stencil (Craft Tangles) and layered a golden glitter circle beneath it.A pp strip to add some more color and finished of with heat embossed sentiment strip(W & W).

I had almost added few sequins but resisted as the card already had too much ;) What do you think of it ?

Quick Masuline card !

Well not exactly pure masuline but will serve the purpose ;) Its no secret that I am crazy for triangles and when I need last minute card for guy.Its my go to stamp. The design is a bit similar to my previous card.(I told ya..I am hooked !)

May not look like but took me just 10 mins to create it(except the time to clear the mess ;))I had all my supplies out.Smooshed cracked pistachio DI on water color paper.Stamped the triangles(W&W Rectangled & Triangled)and decorated with some handcut ones.Used a black glitter foam to jazz up the card.Drew few small triangles with black pen and finished off with sentiment strip (HLS- Mix Mash)

Would love to know your go to stamp! Thanks for visiting :)

Going pink with Altenew

Hello friends sharing a card made using Altenew's layered lily Stamp set.

Did some masking to stamp the flowers and leaves.Used mix of distress ink, memento ink and water color markers for stamping. The background looked empty so made a subtle pattern using stencil(TCW-quatrafoil) and light grey ink.

Stamped the sentiment from Happy Occasions Sentiments(IBS),few splatters and sequins to finish the card.Mounted the panel on side folding pink card base.
Hope you liked the card ,Thanks for visiting :)

OLC with Pencil coloring

A simple pencil colored card  :) Inspired by so many beautiful pencil colored images shared on blogs I brought my color pencils out (they are very old ,from my school days !) I find layering colors using pencils tricky ,I could not go beyond three layers. So the results are just passable !

I have CASEd Shona's card to stamp the floral cluster. The lovely flowers are from dainty blooms(Mudra Craft Stamps). Did some masking and selective stamping.

Used happy anniversary from The Big ,the bold and Happy set (W & W ) to create a circular frame for the floral cluster.Kept it very simple (no sequins, no splatters )

I have not created much OLCs ,enjoyed creating this one ,hope you like it :)

Faux-Chalkboar shaker card

Faux Chalkboard again !! hope you are not bored of seeing it again and again. The starting point for this card was the ribbon banner.Did some trials to fit the sentiment in it. Drew rough outlines on the black cardbase using a chalk and then heat embossed the sentiment in parts.Later used a white gel pen to draw the banner.

Stamped the confetti on the top portion of the card using tiny stamps from Dream Catcher set(Mudra craft stamps).Used a colorful pp (Glitz- Color Me Happy) to create a shaker frame.

Its very simple shaker card hope you like it :)

Faux-Chalkboard Birthday Card

Hello friends , Today I have a faux-chalkboard card to share.I love this technique very much and when I saw this month's Mudra Challenge ,I knew I am not going to miss it :)

SO here I am with a birthday card.Started by heat Embossing the sentiment in white. Then stamped the Dainty blooms, and few additional flowers around it with white pigment ink. Both the stamps are from Mudra Crafts Stamps.

I tried many options for coloring but none of them poped on black ,so went for acrylic paints (layers of it !).Used color pencils for highlights and shadows. As I wanted the focus to be on the chalkboard look ,kept it simple ,just layering over a light pink cardstock. If you are wondering how come the black looks so black ,I have blended some archival black ink around the edges.Made a matching envelope.

Hope you liked the card and give this technique a try ! Thank you for visiting :)
